NONSENSE POEM

NONSENSE POEM
That cat is wearing a hat
That dog is like a rat
A pig is sitting on a mat
A horse is hitting with a bat
That hamster is a real nat
That bird is really fat
An owl is chasing a cat
An ant is about to be flat

Family
Please read my poem about Thanksgiving
I am thankful for my family.
They give me all the joy in my life.
I love them so much.
They mean the entire world to me.
They will always be in my heart.
Thank you for your love and care.
I couldn’t do it without you.
Pie
Delicious, scrumptious
Good, yum, grate
Amazing, swinging, old, history
Fantastic, pumpkin, new
Round, food
Awesome!

Grandparents, grandparents
O how I love my grandparents
They are the greatest of grandparents

Nature
Bright is Day
Black is night
No evil shall escape my sight
That those who worship evils might
Beware my power

COLE'S POEM

PLEASE READ MY POEM AND COMMENT
Today we begin a poetry unit. Poetry is where something that rhymes.  I think and feel it is nice and soft.
We read Love that Dog by Sharon Creech.
Pause #1: Boys can write poetry. There is always something in someone’s mind.
Pause #2: A poem can be about anything.  And can be written any where.
Pause #3:
Pause# 4: A poem can also be about music. And can be found anywhere.
Pause# 5: It is sad that sky died. Why didn’t the blue car stop?
Pause#6: You can write about any thing. Just about anything that is appropriate
End: Anyone can be a poet .You just have to think!

Jack got is inspiration from Walter D. Myers. It made him start writing poems in the first place!

The Nuclear Bomb

PLEASE READ MY SCARY STORY
It was a dark and stormy night when all of a sudden……” AHHHHHHHHH!” Steve yelled “What if you had 10 min. to live because a Nuclear Bomb was about to explode and destroy Cyber Space while you were in it?” That’s what happened to Colleen and Steve in the 21st century.
Colleen and Steve were caught in Cyber Space. They were trying to dismantle the bomb and seconds were ticking, time was ticking away fast when all of a sudden Steve was able to disconnect it.
After they disconnected the Nuclear Bomb they had to kill the evil Robot Chicken and his Hunchback minions. Steve used a lightning bow while Colleen called the Air force Chief who called the President for permission to kill the Robot Chicken with all the air force equipment and he said YES. So now the Robot Chicken and his minions are all dead and Cyber Space is saved all but one thing. DID I MENTION THAT ROBOT CHICKEN HAD A SON?     BOOOOOOOOO!
THE END

HAMMERHEAD SHARKS

Please read my essay on Hammerhead Shark!
Hammerhead Shark will blow your mind! Their colors are gray, brown, and white. They breathe with the five gills on each side of them. This Hammerhead shark, a cold blooded animal, lives in topical and sub-tropical waters worldwide. Most travel amongst large groups of there own species called Sphyrnidae. The Scientific Latin name for a hammerhead shark is Rhincodon Typus.
Most sharks have 8 fins. Sharks can only drift away from objects directly in front of them because their fins do not allow them to move in the tail- first direction. The tail provides thrust, making speed and acceleration dependent on tail shape. The parts of the tail are Petric fin, Clasper (males), Anal fin, Caudal keel, Caudal fin, Precaudal pit, and Second dorsal fin. Varying tail shapes have evolved in sharks adapted for different environments.
Shark teeth are embedded in the gums rather than directly affixed to the jaw, and are constantly replaced throughout life. The rate of tooth replacement varies from once every 8- 10 days to several months.
